Q4 2023 Performance of Top Air Travel Apps in Latin America on Android

As the fourth quarter of 2023 comes to a close, a look at the performance of the top air travel apps in Latin America on the Android platform reveals interesting trends in user engagement and app popularity. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers us a glimpse into how these apps have fared during this period.

Starting with LATAM Airlines, the app saw a fluctuating download trend, peaking at 62K in mid-October before dipping to 41K by the year's end. Weekly active users showed more stability, starting at 267K and reaching a high of 295K in late November, followed by a slight decline to 261K in the final week of December.

Volaris experienced a surge in downloads in early October at 54K, which then gradually decreased to 21K by the end of December. The app's active users mirrored this pattern, with a peak at 118K also in October and ending the quarter with 70K active users.

For Flightradar24 Flight Tracker, the app's revenue remained consistent, hovering around 5K USD per week throughout the quarter. Downloads for Flightradar24 spiked at 38K in late December, and the app maintained a strong user base with weekly active users climbing from 298K to 326K in the final weeks of the year.

The Viva Aerobus app showed a mid-quarter spike in downloads reaching 35K in mid-November, but finished the quarter at 21K. Active users experienced a high of 95K in the same period, dwindling down to 75K by quarter's end.

Lastly, Jetcost: flights, hotels, cars, an app for comparing travel deals, saw a significant increase in downloads from 11K in late September to over 34K in December. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trajectory, starting at 11K and growing to 27K by the close of the quarter.
